Funhouse Comedy Club return with four amazing comedians for Comedy Night at The Angles.
El Baldiniho
El Baldinho is a marvellous comedian and magician of no
repute. Don’t expect political satire, do expect silliness and your jaw aching
from laughter. Recently seen on Britain’s Got Talent (where he got 4 yeses) he
can also be seen headlining family friendly comedy events at The Comedy Store,
Up The Creek, and The Frog and Bucket.
“Evoked the spirit of Tommy Cooper” - Evening Standard
“One of the funniest things I’ve seen.” - Rich Hall
“mind-boggingly daft” - Agraman
Peter Brush
A highly distinctive performer and deft writer of finely crafted jokes, Peter Brush unassumingly takes the stage with his slight bespectacled frame and scruffy hair, before consummately conquering it with an arsenal of razor sharp quirky one-liners and peerlessly original routines, all delivered in an amusingly awkward fashion.
Peter performs at all the major clubs across the UK, as well as having done many of it’s biggest festivals, he has also played shows in Switzerland, Norway and Hungary. Formerly a BBC New Comedy Award finalist, he has written for several BBC Radio 4 shows and was the support act for Alexei Sayle’s most recent tour. Other acts he has supported on tour include Jonathan Pie, Jason Manford, Fern Brady, Arthur Smith and Paul Sinha.
Pete Teckman
Pete has become a regular fixture on the UK comedy circuit
since making his debut in a heat of the prestigious Laughing Horse New Act of
the Year competition where he qualified for the quarter final (which was his
second gig)!
Having beaten the gong at the notorious King Gong nights at
both the Manchester and London Comedy Stores Pete has subsequently made a
number of appearances at both venues, and a successful performance at The Stand
Red Raw night in Edinburgh led to an immediate offer of a weekend residence at their Newcastle club.
Carl Jones - Compere
Midlands comic Carl Jones first hit the circuit in 2011
after winning the Nottingham Comedy Festival Best Newcomer in his first handful
of gigs. Since then, he’s gone on to reach the BBC New Comedy Award heats, the
latter stages of numerous national new act competitions and gig at some of the
top comedy clubs across the UK.
Away from the stage, Carl is a regular contributor to BBC
Radio’s comedy output and his writing can regularly be heard on Newsjack, The
Show What You Wrote and, most recently, as additional writer on national
institution The News Quiz on BBC Radio 4. He also recently released his first
book, Be In That Number, about Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Clubs around the
world.
