We've been making progress!
Although it’s been a tough year, it’s given us the chance to work on lots of things we wouldn’t usually have opportunity to do.
One of those projects has been a clear up and clean out of all the spaces the theatre uses throughout the year, for storage or activities. Over time these spaces have become more filled (as it does!) with lots of items used for shows, events, classes, projects, etc. And though they are always kept safe - this has been a great opportunity to properly sort out and clean them up ready for our return in September.
Our main areas for storage are under the theatre (or "the undercroft"), under the seating (or "the tunnel"), and believe it or not - we keep our costumes and props in a separate building from the theatre all together!
Reducing our stock in all these places has made the space much easier to navigate and locate specific items, and also makes room for new costumes, props, set builds and equipment for upcoming shows...there's likely to be some very interesting things appearing in the next few months!
There's also been lots of working going on to revamp areas of the theatre you interact with the most, we don't want to give too much away just yet so when you can finally join us again in September, it's a very nice surprise!
Keep your eyes peeled for some exciting updates, and you know what they say..."It's out with the old and in with the blue!"
